Each time I am asked to stand before a microphone and share our story I am distinctly aware that God's grace is enormous. Only our loving and gentle Savior could take our loss and redeem it in such a way that He is given glory and we are allowed a measure of joy. Precisely where I believed I would never know joy again, He is lavishing a peace that comes from retelling where we have been and what God is doing with it. To realize that somehow on his divine scale, what is still unimaginable and inexplicable, what still aches and is relentlessly painful, he takes and uses as a balm of healing in the lives of others. Our little boy's courageous, passionate life is simply an example of God's goodness. As he opens doors, I will walk through with that message: There is no pit so deep, God is not deeper still.

Elizabeth- My name is Sarah, we live in Montana. My friend just recently gave me your book about James. Wow-how God worked, isn't he good? Last October my little boy was born with Aoritc Stenosis and had a heart cath at 5 days old that failed, open heart surgery at 10 days old, and then went into atrial flutter many times the day we were suppose to come home! I've been searching for other moms that have been there. God gave me your book. Thank you for your truth in your book and it has helped me heal to hear your same struggles and how you held onto God in the midst of it all!
Elizabeth- My name Micah, and I am 12 years old. I live in Western PA. I have been going to Awana for about nine years and heard about your son during our message time.During that message time we watched your movie about your story. Soon after, I bought Journey for the Heart. I was amazed at how God worked through you and your husband for the greater plan that he has for us. I can't tell you how much your story has impacted me. You see, I am twelve years old, and hearing your son's story brought tears to my eyes just because of our ages (and that doesn't include all the other times I cried). I pray that your story will show others that God is always at work even when we can't see it. Keep the faith! God Bless!
